Carleton looking for Peer Helpers

Courtesy of my Carleton inbox:

We are now recruiting for the 2006/2007 team of Carleton University Peer Helpers. Positions are available in the First Year Experience Office, Career Services, Co-op, and Learning Support Services. http://www.carleton.ca/fyeo/peerHelper.htm

The Peer Helper program offers a way for senior students to take on leadership roles, help other students, be role models, and gain paraprofessional experience that complements academic studies.

We will accept Peer Helper applications until Monday March 13, 2006. If you are interested in applying for a position, visit our Peer Helper website http://www.carleton.ca/fyeo/peerHelper/peerApplication.htm for the on-line application, position profiles, key dates and deadlines.

There will also be two information sessions to discuss the Peer Helper program and answer any questions you have about these leadership opportunities. The Peer Helper information sessions will take place on:

Tuesday March 7th: 3:30 pm - 4:30 pm in Commons Grille, Residence
Commons.

Thursday March 9th: 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm in 402 Learning Commons, Library

If you have any questions about the Peer Helper recruitment process, please e-mail greg_jefford@carleton.ca or call us at 520-2600 ext. 2205.

And, on a totally separate issue - I couldn't help noticing that one of the current Blogs of Note on Blogger is one of my quasi-regular visits on the web: Rick Mercer's Blog. Also visit his Website most Wednesdays because I work Tuesday Nights and miss his show (The Mercer Report - Canadian Political Satire for anyone reading from abroad). Gotta Love Rick Mercer!
